SolarEdge Inverter Connection Guide

Your system communicates solar production information through your home internet network via Ethernet cord or Wi-Fi, or through a cellular connection. This communication allows Omnidian to monitor your system’s performance and alert you of performance issues as they arise. If you have a performance guarantee, system communication is also required for any performance guarantee claims.

Procedure

Find your inverter and ensure that it is turned on - the red tab should be on the "1" position and the DC knob in the ON position.
Turn off the inverter:
1. Turn the red tab to the "0" position.
2. Wait 20 seconds.
3. Turn the large DC knob OFF.
4. Locate solar breakers in your main service panel or subpanel.
5. Turn them OFF.
  - If your system connects via your home internet:
    1. Confirm functional internet at the residence
    2. Go to your internet router.
    3. Confirm the connection with the Ethernet cord (if Ethernet communications are used)
    4. Verify the cord is firmly connected to a LAN port (If you are hooked up via Wi-Fi, confirm that your Wi-Fi connection is up and running)
      - For Ethernet connections, at the inverter, ensure the cord is plugged correctly into bottom of the inverter.
  - If your system connects via a cellular connection;
    1. Confirm adequate cell service at the residence.
    2. Confirm that the antenna on top of the inverter is plugged in correctly.
Turn on the inverter:
1. Turn the solar breakers in your main service panel or subpanel on.
2. Turn the large DC knob ON.
3. Switch the red tab to the "1" position.
