### **Solar Troubleshooting Basics**

At Omnidian, we provide **peace of mind** by proactively monitoring your system’s health. If our tools detect a drop in performance, we will contact you to coordinate a solution.

However, many common issues—like a temporary internet connection glitch or a tripped breaker—can be resolved in minutes right from your home. You can follow these basic steps to get your system back up and running as it should.

\[IMPORTANT\] **SAFETY FIRST** This guide is for basic resets and diagnostics only. Your safety is paramount. Do not attempt any work you are not comfortable with. **Never touch exposed wiring.**

### **Step 1: Check the Environment**

Before moving to hardware, check the conditions around your home.

- **Weather and Surroundings:** Is it nighttime or heavily overcast? Were your panels damaged in a recent storm? Assess potential impacts on your solar panels because your system needs direct sunlight to produce power.

- **Obstructions:** Are the panels covered in snow, heavy debris, or thick dust?

- **Internet:** Is your home Wi-Fi working? If your router is offline, your system may be producing power but simply cannot "report" that data to us.

### **Step 2: Check Your Breakers**

Sometimes a power surge can trip the safety switch for your solar array.

1. Go to your **Main Electrical Panel**.

2. Locate the breaker labeled **"Solar"** or **"PV."**

3. Flip it completely **OFF**, then back **ON**.

### **Step 3: Reset Your Inverter**

If the breaker is fine, a manual restart of the inverter (the box that converts solar energy for your home) often clears internal errors. **Follow this sequence exactly:**

- **A. Turn off the AC Disconnect:** This is usually a grey box near the inverter with a large handle. **Pull the handle down.**

- **B. Turn off the DC Disconnect:** This is usually a dial or switch located on the inverter itself. Turn it to the **"OFF"** position.

- **C. Wait 5 Minutes:** The inverter screen should go blank.

- **D. Power Back Up:** Reverse the process. First, turn the **DC Disconnect** back to **"ON."** Then, push the **AC Disconnect** handle back **UP.**

**Note:** The inverter will take **5–15 minutes** to restart and sync with the utility grid. Stay by the unit to see if production numbers resume on the display.
