My system isn't communicating data. What should I do?

You may have received an email from Omnidian in which we informed you that your solar system is currently not communicating data. What does this mean, and how can you fix it?

Your system communicates solar production information in one of two ways:

This communication is what allows Omnidian to monitor your system’s performance and alert you of performance issues as they arise. If you have a performance guarantee, system communication is also required for any claims related to the performance guarantee. When your system is not communicating data, we are unable to monitor your system's energy output. Because Omnidian's role in your solar journey is to ensure the performance of your system, we always want to rectify this issue as soon as possible!

We have developed a series of easy-to-follow troubleshooting guides to help you address this communication error at home. What to Do

  1. Identify the manufacturer and model of your solar meter using the pictures below.
    • Generally, your solar system hardware will be located in the garage or on an exterior wall of the house.
  2. Click the corresponding link to the troubleshooting guide specific to your equipment.
